I guess things happen for a reason. Im getting adjusted to this new environment. Sometimes I question why I'm here. I'm not setting myself up for a social life, wealth, or education. I have been accepted into the community and pretty much every kid here knows my name and gets excited to see me. That feels great and I have the opportunity to make some real change. We had one of our group members graduate today...it was so sad. He's been here nine months and never took his passes (rewards) home because he didn't like being there. He seems like a real genuine kid. Social services came to pick him up and I saw him leave just as he came...alone. The worst part is our group misbehaved this morning and had to eat lunch downtrail so I was really the only one left to send him off and I've only worked as his group leader 2 days. (sep 27)

first day at camp
well today is my first day at camp...i was driving to winston salem yesterday and as i was passing through charlotte "how to save a life" by The Fray came on the radio..the dj introduced it as a song inspired by working at a camp for troubled teens. God has blessed me...he's listening and answering my prayers and I hope he will use me to make a difference in some of these kids lives.
GREAT NEWS
I have a 24 hour long interview (trial) as a counselor next Thursday for what is, at this moment, my dream job. WHAAATTTT!!!!!!
